Gundam’s official fashion label STRICT-G also operates “STRICT-G JAPAN,” a sub-label that brings traditional Japanese culture and art into its designs, offering fans a fresh take on everyday merchandise.
The label has now teamed up with long-established Kyoto canvas bag maker Ichizawa Shinzaburo Hanpu for three Mobile Suit Gundam designs. Priced at ¥25,300 each, the bags are now available for preorder through Premium Bandai in Japan.

Known for its exceptional canvas craftsmanship, Ichizawa Shinzaburo Hanpu is a handmade fabric bag brand based in Kyoto’s Higashiyama district. Every stage of production, from cutting to sewing, is completed by skilled craftspeople. Its products use specially woven, high-quality cotton canvas dyed in the brand’s distinctive, richly textured colors, while even the thread and metal fittings are custom-made.
For more than a century, the brand has upheld its commitment to making bags that are sturdy, long-lasting, simple, practical, and timeless. Its workshop in Higashiyama, Kyoto continues that tradition today, earning Ichizawa Shinzaburo Hanpu an international reputation for canvas bags.

Three designs are available. The horizontal bag features a Gundam Wave pattern, while the two vertical bags showcase profile illustrations of Gundam and Char’s Zaku II , both signature motifs from the STRICT-G JAPAN collection, rendered in an expressive ink-brush style.
Each design is based on one of Ichizawa Shinzaburo Hanpu’s long-running classics. Durable and easy to use, the cotton canvas develops its own distinctive character over time, making these bags built for years of service.
