Chris Pratt Unfazed by AI Actor Debate: "I Don't Even Know Who This Bitch Is"

As artificial intelligence increasingly integrates into the film and television industry, the debate over whether "AI actors" threaten performers' livelihoods has become a hot topic. Hollywood star Chris Pratt, attending the New York premiere of his new film "Mercy," recently spoke with Variety, stating he remains unfazed by the discussion and describing the public's panic surrounding synthetic AI actor Tilly Norwood as overblown.

"I don't think there's an AI that's going to replace me," Pratt stated when discussing the topic. "I've heard about this Tilly Norwood thing, and I think that's total BS. I've never seen her in any movie, I don't even know who this bitch is. Until it actually becomes a reality, it's all just fake."

While discussing AI's development, Pratt didn't entirely dismiss the potential of the new technology. He suggested that artificial intelligence could be an effective tool in the creative process, provided it doesn't threaten human jobs.

"In the right hands, it can really help people tell better stories," Pratt acknowledged. He also conceded that AI will ultimately bring changes to the industry but expressed his belief that talented filmmakers will continue to create valuable work.

Tilly Norwood, created by Dutch comedian Eline Van der Velden, sparked industry backlash after her film festival debut. SAG-AFTRA, the American actors' union, previously warned that AI actors could raise issues concerning the misappropriation of performances and labor rights.

Pratt further emphasized, "You can't replace the humanity in a director, a writer, or an actor. Those things that come from desire, pain, and vision — that's the core of art."
