Hollywood saw two major studios announce their upcoming film slates today. MGM Studios revealed that "I Play Rocky," the highly anticipated behind-the-scenes film about the making of the original "Rocky," is set for a North American release on November 20 this year. This date fittingly marks the 50th anniversary of the first "Rocky" film's world premiere in New York.
Directed by Peter Farrelly, known for co-helming the "Dumb and Dumber" franchise, and penned by Peter Gamble, co-writer of "Office Uprising," "I Play Rocky" boasts a cast including Tracy Letts, Matt Dillon, Toby Kebbell, P.J. Byrne, AnnaSophia Robb, and Anthony Ippolito as a young Sylvester Stallone. The film chronicles Stallone's arduous journey of writing the screenplay, pitching it to studios, and securing funding to bring the iconic "Rocky" to the big screen.

Meanwhile, Black Bear Pictures has slated Guy Ritchie's latest directorial effort, "In the Grey," for a North American release on April 10 this year.
The action-thriller features a star-studded ensemble, bringing together many of Ritchie's frequent collaborators. Jake Gyllenhaal, who previously worked with Ritchie on "The Covenant," joins Henry Cavill, a veteran of Ritchie's "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare" and "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." Eiza González, who also appeared in "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare" and the upcoming "Fountain of Youth," is part of the cast, alongside Rosamund Pike, who recently wrapped "Wife and Dog" with Ritchie.
The film's synopsis details a high-stakes mission: an elite, covert special ops team is tasked with retrieving a billion-dollar fortune stolen by a ruthless dictator. What begins as an impossible heist quickly spirals into an all-out war of strategy, deception, and survival.
