"Detective Conan" and "My Hero Academia" Announce Special Collaboration Project, Featuring Protagonist Illustrations by Both Authors!

The TV anime My Hero Academia is gearing up to celebrate its 10th anniversary on April 3, 2026. And guess who else is hitting a major milestone in 2026? None other than Detective Conan, which also airs on Yomiuri TV, right after My Hero Academia at 6 PM, marking its epic 30th anniversary!

To mark this double-whammy anniversary year, an official special collaboration project between Detective Conan and My Hero Academia has been officially announced! They've dropped exclusive illustrations of each other's protagonists, drawn by the original authors, and fans are absolutely loving them.

This crossover brought in a super deluxe lineup: Detective Conan creator Gosho Aoyama himself drew My Hero Academia's protagonist Izuku Midoriya, while My Hero Academia creator Kohei Horikoshi penned a fantastic illustration of Conan Edogawa!

Both sensei poured their unique artistic styles into these two one-of-a-kind commemorative illustrations, sending their best wishes to each other's works and capturing tons of expressive charm! Fans absolutely cannot miss these. This fresh set of visuals will also be featured in the February 18th issue of "Weekly Shonen Sunday" and the February 16th issue of "Weekly Shonen Jump," making this a true cross-publisher collaboration.

And that's not all! A special collaboration PV has also officially dropped! It features a joint narration by the protagonists of both series—Conan Edogawa (CV: Minami Takayama) and Izuku Midoriya (CV: Daiki Yamashita)!

Their voices intertwine and overlap in the PV, perfectly complementing the line, "Two timelines converge—" This design symbolizes the rare moment of this dual anniversary year.
