While "Harry Potter" series stars Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and Daniel Radcliffe famously shared the screen across eight films, the "Golden Trio" has yet to reunite for any project outside the beloved wizarding world. However, that doesn't mean the idea hasn't been floated; Radcliffe himself recently revealed that years ago, an offer was made for them to co-star in a non-"Harry Potter" movie.
During an appearance on the popular YouTube series "Hot Ones," Radcliffe recalled one of the "worst ideas" he'd ever heard. "One of the worst ideas I've ever heard was when we were still doing the 'Harry Potter' films, someone came to us, and they were trying to set up the three of us — me, Emma, and Rupert — to star in a remake of 'The Wizard of Oz'," Radcliffe explained. "They wanted Emma to play Dorothy, and I don't remember what they wanted Rupert to play, but I remember I was supposed to be the Lion, and the Lion was going to know karate. I was set to play a karate-kicking Cowardly Lion. I remember being about 14 or 15 at the time, and thinking, 'I haven't seen much of the world yet, but this is definitely a terrible idea that should not be made.'"
