Resident Evil Requiem Leaks Spread Wild; Hideki Kamiya Blasts Spoilers, Curses Them to Never Play Games Again

"Resident Evil Requiem" is on the verge of release, but the internet is already awash with massive story leaks, with spoiler posts spreading like wildfire. Reports indicate that Capcom has acknowledged the leak situation ahead of the final pre-release weekend, attempting to warn players.

Responding to this, Hideki Kamiya, former director of "Resident Evil 2" and known for his strong online presence and blunt remarks, took to X (formerly Twitter) to publicly blast the leakers with incredibly harsh words.

Kamiya recalled a similar leak incident during the final stages of "Resident Evil 2"'s development. He stated, "During the final stages of 'Resident Evil 2''s development, I'm quite certain some leaks were exposed by a weekly magazine." However, he believes the source of the "Requiem" leaks is far less "official" and not as simple as a media error, making it harder to trace and stop.

Speaking about the damage caused by spoilers, Kamiya stated that leaking offers virtually no worthwhile return, but it "tramples" on the players eagerly awaiting the game and the creators who poured their hearts into it.

"Trampling the feelings of those who anticipate the game and those who worked hard to create it... destroying everyone's joy for the self-satisfaction of these bastards." Kamiya then furiously added, "People who commit such despicable acts deserve to die ten thousand times over. I pray they are cursed to never play this game again."

While reports also mention that Kamiya is quite friendly in person, he's consistently known for his blunt and aggressive online persona. Given the situation, Kamiya's reaction isn't without reason.
