While most of the core cast for the upcoming HBO series "Harry Potter" has been finalized, one immensely significant role remains unannounced by the studio. This is a character fans are closely monitoring, treating its casting with the same anticipation as a "James Bond"-level handover: the ultimate antagonist of the entire saga, Tom Riddle / Lord Voldemort.
Previous rumors once suggested that Cillian Murphy and Cynthia Erivo were potential candidates for the role, but both the studio and the actors themselves eventually denied these reports. Recently, however, another strong contender has emerged on the shortlist.

Renowned entertainment journalist Daniel Richtman revealed on his Patreon page this morning that Paul Bettany, known for his long-standing role as Vision in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is currently HBO executives' top choice to take on the role of Voldemort. The studio has not yet confirmed this rumor, but Bettany's demeanor and image are indeed the closest among all rumored candidates to the previous Voldemort, Ralph Fiennes. Whether he will ultimately be chosen remains to be seen, pending an official announcement from the studio.
