This year marks the 55th anniversary of "Kamen Rider," and to celebrate, a brand-new theatrical film, "AGITO - Psychic War -," was announced in late January as the special anniversary feature. It's set to hit theaters across Japan on April 29th.
Today (March 5), the official trailer and main visual poster were officially unveiled. Jun Kaname's Makoto Hikawa will suit up in the latest enhanced armor, "G7," an evolution from G3-X and G6, stepping up to confront the chaos unleashed by out-of-control psychic powers.
The film also brings back several original cast members, including Toshiki Kashu as Shouichi Tsugami, with rising star Yuuchami joining the lineup. This time, the movie even drops "Kamen Rider" from its title, aiming for a more boundary-pushing, mature psychic action film.
The official poster, also revealed today, features the tagline: "Is it human evolution? Or the true value of the soul?" It shows Makoto Hikawa, Shouichi Tsugami, and new character Ruriko Aoi (played by Yuuchami) facing an unknown threat with grave expressions. Behind them, the colossal figures of the latest enhanced armor, G7 and G6, loom powerfully. The poster hints that the story will confront beings who, having awakened psychic abilities, are gradually becoming "less human."

The Story:
In this world, people are steadily awakening "psychic powers." Some abuse their newfound strength, plunging cities into chaos. Amidst this turmoil, only an ordinary police officer—Makoto Hikawa—steps forward. He possesses no special abilities, yet he believes in justice more than anyone. The rampage of the powerful and the resolve of the powerless intertwine in an ultimate showdown of "human evolution and conviction."
The theme song, "Dramatic Heibon," was specially created for the film by ORANGE RANGE, who celebrate their 25th anniversary this year. The band shared that the song blends the nostalgic feel of Heisei-era pop music with new Reiwa-era elements, hoping to empower those fighting in the film. This collaboration marks a significant musical return for the "Kamen Rider Agito" world, revived after 25 years.
