When you think ketchup, one name probably springs to mind: Heinz. With over 150 years of history, it's the brand that first commercialized ketchup globally and still holds the top spot for global sales.
Recently, Heinz announced a collaboration with the popular IP Pokémon, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary. The result? Limited-edition Pikachu-themed "upside-down" ketchup bottles, now available at major retailers across Japan.

In fact, Heinz Japan had teased the collaboration on its official X (formerly Twitter) account with a Pikachu graphic hinting at the upcoming release.
While Heinz hadn't officially announced the release details, the bottles quietly started appearing on shelves at major Japanese retailers. Japanese social media quickly filled with posts from excited fans who had already snagged them, with the official rollout seemingly beginning around March 7th.

It's confirmed that there are three distinct designs, each featuring Heinz's iconic "upside-down" ketchup bottle adorned with a brand-new Pikachu illustration.

So, if you happen to be browsing the aisles of a Japanese supermarket, keep an eye out – you might just catch one!
