Warner Bros. Games recently announced an adjustment to the release schedule for "LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight." Originally slated for May 29, 2026, the highly anticipated title will now launch a week earlier, on May 22, across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms. The Nintendo Switch 2 version is still expected to follow at a later date.

Warner Bros. Games revealed the new launch date through a freshly released promotional trailer, featuring the tagline "You signaled. He answered." This phrase symbolizes Gotham City's renewed call for Batman's return.
Developer TT Games initially unveiled the game's release window at The Game Awards last year, aiming for a spring slot that was, at the time, occupied by "Grand Theft Auto VI." However, with "GTA 6" subsequently shifting to the holiday season, a new opening emerged in the market.
The game will immerse players in a vast, open-world Gotham City. Beyond controlling Batman, players will also have the opportunity to embody numerous iconic characters, including familiar faces such as Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, James Gordon, Talia, and Catwoman.

This marks TT Games' next major licensed LEGO title following the critically acclaimed "Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga" in 2022. Several media outlets offered positive feedback after their initial playtests, noting that the game delivers an experience that seamlessly blends open-world exploration with classic series elements. Some even described it as "the LEGO 'Batman: Arkham'-style game players have been waiting for."
