Alan Ritchson, who first gained recognition for his role as Aquaman in "Smallville" early in his career and has recently reached new career heights starring in the hit Amazon series "Reacher," was recently featured in a video released by gossip outlet TMZ, showing an altercation with his neighbor. The incident occurred when Ritchson was riding his motorcycle with his child through their neighborhood. The neighbor, reportedly bothered by the motorcycle's noise, blocked the road to prevent Ritchson from proceeding. The neighbor then loudly accused Ritchson of dangerous speeding and excessive engine noise. Ultimately, a physical confrontation ensued, with Ritchson reportedly knocking the neighbor to the ground in anger.

The neighbor involved in the altercation was identified as Ronnie Taylor. Taylor later showed TMZ his facial injuries (pictured below), claiming he was indeed assaulted. However, Taylor also admitted that he initially provoked Ritchson by giving him the middle finger and pushing him first, which led to Ritchson's retaliation.

According to other witnesses, Taylor's sudden appearance in the middle of the road caused Ritchson to fall off his motorcycle. Witnesses also stated that Taylor repeatedly provoked Ritchson physically and pushed him to the ground, forcing Ritchson to defend himself when he could no longer tolerate the aggression. Subsequently, dashcam footage from Ritchson's perspective was released, confirming that Taylor was indeed the aggressor.

Although Taylor insisted that Ritchson and his child were speeding, Ritchson's video footage revealed his speed was around 21 miles per hour, which is within the 25 mph residential speed limit in the U.S., thus not considered speeding. Many netizens felt the neighbor overreacted and deserved the retaliation for initiating the physical provocation. Following a police investigation, Ritchson was determined to have acted in self-defense, and no charges were filed against anyone.
