Production has officially begun on HBO's hit series "The Last of Us" Season 3. Newly released set photos offer the first look at Kaitlyn Dever as Abby and Kyriana Kratter as Lev, sparking significant discussion among gamers and fans.
Reports indicate that Season 3 will shift its narrative focus from Bella Ramsey's Ellie to Abby's perspective, with the story primarily set in Seattle. The series will also introduce several new characters, including Patrick Wilson as Abby's father, Jerry; Michelle Mao as Yara; and Kyriana Kratter as Lev.

The revealed set photos show Abby and Lev navigating through Seattle's ruined landscapes. Abby is seen wearing a blue jacket, similar to the one she wore at the end of Season 2, with her overall look closely matching the game's design. Kratter also shaved her head to portray Lev and is carrying a bow and arrow, further bringing the character to life.
While an exact release date for "The Last of Us" Season 3 has not been announced, it is confirmed for a 2027 premiere. Speculation suggests this season could potentially serve as the series' final chapter.
In other news, Naughty Dog Creative Director Neil Druckmann previously announced his intention to step back from series production after Season 2 to focus on developing new games for the studio. However, HBO has expressed confidence in the series' future development, stating that a strong creative foundation is already in place.
