Legendary American businesswoman Martha Stewart is an iconic figure in Western culture, celebrated for both her entrepreneurial achievements and her much-discussed personal life. Naturally, documentaries and television programs about her are plentiful. However, perhaps due to Stewart's extensive on-screen presence, Hollywood has rarely tackled a biographical film about her. That situation, however, is finally changing.

During a recent interview with Variety, Stewart was asked about the abundance of documentaries already available about her and whether a biopic might be in the works. To the surprise of many, Stewart revealed on the spot that such a project is indeed planned. "I hear rumors," she stated. "I think there's a movie in the works, starring Cate Blanchett, called 'Good Thing'."

Following Stewart's comments, Variety independently confirmed the news with industry sources. Janicza Bravo, the acclaimed director behind the hit series "The Bear" and who previously collaborated with Cate Blanchett on the limited series "Mrs. America," has been confirmed to direct the film.
