Last summer, Charlize Theron and Uma Thurman engaged in intense combat in the Netflix action sequel "The Old Guard 2." Now, Theron is set to join forces with another Hollywood veteran. Variety exclusively reported today that Demi Moore, who recently enjoyed a career resurgence with "The Substance," will co-star with Theron.

Variety indicated that Moore will star alongside Theron in "Tyrant," an original thriller produced by Amazon and MGM. Emmy winner Julia Garner, known for "Ozark," is also slated to join the cast. The film is reportedly set against the backdrop of New York's upscale dining scene, with a plot that sees its protagonists navigating high-stakes challenges.
"Tyrant" is written and directed by David Weil, co-creator of the Apple TV+ sci-fi series "Invasion." Production is expected to commence in the coming weeks.
