Finnish director Jalmari Helander, known for "Big Game" and "Sisu" (pictured above), is helming the prequel. The screenplay was penned by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani, the writing duo behind "Black Adam." The film is expected to delve into the formative experiences and origins of a young John Rambo during the Vietnam War.

Initially, Sylvester Stallone, who originated the iconic role of Rambo, was not involved in the production. However, he later agreed to return, joining "Avengers" series directors, the Russo Brothers, as a co-producer.
