The long-running horror IP, the "Evil Dead" franchise, created by "Spider-Man" trilogy director Sam Raimi, is set to unleash its sixth film, "Evil Dead Burn," this summer. The first teaser trailer for the new installment was just released.
This installment is directed by Sébastien Vanicek, known for "Vermines," who also co-wrote the screenplay with "Vermines" scribe Florent Bernard. Raimi continues his role as executive producer alongside Bruce Campbell, the franchise's original lead. Lee Cronin, director of the fifth film, "Evil Dead Rise," also returns as a co-producer.

The official synopsis reveals: After her husband's death, a woman seeks solace at her in-laws' secluded estate. However, the family members begin to transform into Deadites one by one, turning what should have been a normal gathering into a hellish family reunion. The woman soon discovers that the vows she made in life... remain valid even after death. "Evil Dead Burn" is slated for a North American release on July 10.
Even before the "Evil Dead Burn" trailer dropped, the seventh installment, "Evil Dead Wrath," already began filming in February of this year, with a scheduled release date of April 7, 2028. The rapid production pace means fans won't have to wait long for the next chapter, with only a two-year gap between releases.
