The die-cast action figure series "MORTAL MIND" from Chinese toy brand CCSTOYS has announced that "Mazinger Z (Fifth Majin Power)" from "Shin Mazinger ZERO vs. Great General of Darkness" is currently in development, with a release date yet to be determined.
In the "Shin Mazinger ZERO" manga series, Mazinger Z is the ultimate super robot developed by the genius scientist Juzo Kabuto with the goal of world domination. Its armaments are largely similar to the original Mazinger Z but with vastly enhanced power; a single Photon Beam is capable of piercing through the Earth. Even more formidable, it's equipped with the ultimate "Majin Power" system, featuring artificial intelligence and self-evolution. This system can sequentially unleash abilities such as self-repair, absorption, enhancement, high-dimensional prediction, form transformation, and even a causality weapon that can interfere with a 1% chance of victory to make it 100%. Ultimately, it reaches the seventh stage of Majin Power: Majinization, transforming into the world-destroying ultimate demon, Mazinger ZERO.
The "Mazinger Z (Fifth Majin Power)" teased here represents the "Form Transformation" ability, the fifth stage of Majin Power, which allows the machine to arbitrarily alter its shape and functions, defying physical laws. The silhouette in the teaser image reveals the back's God Scrander transforming into a larger, bat-like shape. In the original manga, this form also gained various additional armaments, including an enhanced Rocket Punch on the right arm, an enhanced Iron Cutter on the left arm, and Drill Missiles. Collectors can look forward to seeing if the actual product will reproduce these features.
