Japanese figure maker Daiki Kogyo has announced its latest articulated release, the “That Person” 1/12 Scale Action Figure, scheduled to launch in April 2027. This figure will be available exclusively as a made-to-order release.
Given the somewhat sensitive political climate and the sharply divided opinions surrounding his particular way of doing things, the company has chosen to identify this distinguished gentleman simply as “That Person.” Of course, everyone knows exactly who he is supposed to be. His signature golden bird’s-nest hairstyle practically glows beneath the light of 50 stars, inspiring bald eagles everywhere to spread their wings with patriotic excitement. With just one mention of tariffs, he can send investors around the world on a months-long roller-coaster ride—and give them plenty of time to enjoy the scenery at the local park. Surely, such a man deserves eight Nobel Peace Prizes.
The “That Person” 1/12 Scale Action Figure stands approximately 15cm tall and combines an articulated body with real fabric clothing. His signature red tie and full suit are both tailored from fabric, and if you are brave enough, the outfit can be freely removed and redressed. The body may reuse parts from one of the company’s earlier middle-aged-man figures, leaving “That Person” with rather short legs and a stocky build. Even so, it still offers a solid range of articulation.
The all-important head sculpt has been subtly altered to sidestep any potential likeness-rights issues, but the familiar expression, hairstyle, and wrinkle detailing still make the inspiration unmistakable. The figure also includes three interchangeable facial expressions and 11 interchangeable hands, opening the door to all kinds of display scenarios. If this series eventually adds that person, that person, and that other person, collectors may soon be able to create scenes even more outrageous and absurd than real life.
