TAKARA TOMY Teases Mashin Hero Wataru TOYRISE Ryujinmaru Ahead of November 5 Reveal

TAKARA TOMY’s high-end T-SPARK hobby brand has teased the next release in its robot-themed "TOYRISE" completed toy line: Ryujinmaru from the classic anime "Mashin Hero Wataru." The figure will be fully revealed on November 5, 2026, when preorders are also scheduled to open.

The Savior’s personal Mashin, Ryujinmaru, houses the Soul of the Golden Dragon, one of the Seven Dragon Gods of Shinbu that protect Mt. Soukai. Its appearance was based on a clay sculpture created by the Savior, Wataru Ikusabe. In addition to powerful techniques such as the Toryuken and Ryugaken, Ryujinmaru continually learns new attacks through battle. After Kujinmaru appears, the two can combine, overcoming Ryujinmaru’s inability to fight in the air. Unlike most Mashin, Ryujinmaru can speak and act autonomously. It is also skilled at rock-paper-scissors and wrestling moves and can speak every regional dialect found across Mt. Soukai.

"TOYRISE Ryujinmaru" closely follows the original animation model sheets, recreating the character’s sharp, heroic head sculpt and streamlined armor design. Its color palette draws from both the anime and early toys, with the gold areas on the head, shoulder dragon emblems, Toryuken, and other details molded in yellow plastic. Despite its super-deformed proportions, the figure also promises extensive articulation. Collectors will be eager to see whether the finished toy can recreate Ryujinmaru raising the sword overhead to unleash its signature Toryuken finisher.

T-SPARK previously displayed a prototype of TOYRISE Ryujinmaru at the Tokyo Toy Show 2026 in August. Along with the main figure, the set is expected to include a miniature Wataru Ikusabe figure. Its distinctive styling pays tribute to TAKARA’s 1988 assembly model, "Mashin Collection No. 01 Ryujinmaru."
