TAKARA TOMY is expanding TOMICA’s collector-focused tomica+ line with “tomica VIEW,” a new series of realistic dioramas inspired by everyday Japanese streets. Designed to let collectors build miniature neighborhoods around their die-cast cars, the first wave includes a “7-Eleven Convenience Store” and a “Small Parking Lot with Vending Machine.” The sets are priced at 7,150 yen and 3,300 yen, respectively, including tax. Preorders are now open ahead of their December 26, 2026 release.
While the previously released “Automated tomica PARKING with showroom” focused on automated parking and elaborate lighting features, tomica VIEW turns its attention to familiar Japanese streetscapes. The 7-Eleven Convenience Store recreates everything from the storefront sign and parking spaces to promotional flags and an outdoor air-conditioning unit. Inside, collectors will find merchandise shelves, a checkout counter, a coffee machine, a clerk restocking products, and customer figures. Two types of LED lighting illuminate the interior and storefront sign, casting light onto cars parked outside and perfectly capturing the atmosphere of a late-night snack run.
The “Small Parking Lot with Vending Machine” recreates the compact parking spaces commonly found on Japanese street corners. Along with marked parking spots and a vending machine, the scene features a weathered concrete wall, gravel-covered ground, a trash can, parking signs, and a figure choosing a drink. The vending machine can be repositioned freely, while its integrated LED lighting gradually fades on. Translucent parts reveal rows of colorful drinks inside. Both sets include road and sidewalk connector pieces, allowing collectors to combine multiple tomica VIEW displays and expand their custom streets. Add separately sold TOMICA cars, and a slice of everyday Japan is ready for your display shelf.
