"Ultraman," arguably Japan's most iconic tokusatsu hero, continues to boast immense popularity across its many series. Not only are new installments constantly being released, but this year also marks the franchise's 60th anniversary, with a slew of celebratory events already underway.
To celebrate the "Ultraman" series hitting its 60-year milestone, Japanese sports brand SSK has dropped a special Ultraman-themed soft baseball glove. Priced at 66,000 JPY, it's officially available for pre-order now.
The "Ultraman" series and SSK actually teamed up once before in 2025. Their collaboration was built on the ideals of "courage," "hope," and "consideration for others," aiming to inspire all sports enthusiasts. As a brand beloved by many baseball fans, SSK's functionality is, without a doubt, top-notch.
This special edition baseball glove, themed around "Ultraman," merges Japan's national sport with iconic Ultraman elements, creating a truly commemorative piece of gear.
This release features an adult-sized, all-rounder soft glove, available in both right-hand and left-hand thrower versions. Functionality-wise, it boasts a zipper design for easy on-and-off, even when wearing protective gear. The high-performance polyester fabric offers excellent sweat-wicking and quick-drying properties, supporting intense movements while ensuring maximum comfort.
The overall color scheme draws inspiration from Ultraman's classic palette, resulting in a truly impactful design. The glove's inner leather features an embroidered Ultraman illustration, while the thumb proudly displays "ウルトラマン" (Ultraman) in the iconic Ultraman font. This is truly a special edition packed with fan-service!
This collaboration glove will be exclusively sold at the SSK Official Online Store and TSUBURAYA STORE ONLINE. Plus, if you snag it from the SSK official store, you can even get your own name (up to 8 Katakana characters) embroidered on the thumb, rendered in that awesome Ultraman-style font!
