Kenneth Lonergan is a highly acclaimed playwright in the theater world, and he has also made his mark in film, penning screenplays for features like "Gangs of New York" and the "Analyze This" comedy series. However, his directorial filmography remains concise, with only three features to his name. A decade has passed since his last directorial effort, the Oscar-winning "Manchester by the Sea," but after a significant hiatus, his fourth feature film is finally gearing up for production.

Variety recently reported that Lonergan's upcoming film is titled "Tomorrow Is a Drag." The impressive ensemble cast includes Aubrey Plaza, Adam Driver, Vanessa Kirby, and Matthew Broderick. Distribution rights for the project are currently being sold at the ongoing Cannes Film Market. While the plot details remain tightly under wraps, production is slated to commence this fall in New York.
