Originally slated for a Netflix-exclusive release, "The Adventures of Cliff Booth" — the highly anticipated sequel/spinoff to Quentin Tarantino's "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood," with Tarantino returning to write and David Fincher taking the directorial reins — will now hit IMAX theaters for an exclusive two-week run, Netflix announced today.

The current distribution plan sees the film debuting in IMAX cinemas for two weeks starting November 25, before making its streaming premiere on Netflix on December 23. This also marks a several-month delay from its initial target of a summer release this year.

The ensemble cast for "The Adventures of Cliff Booth" features returning "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" stars Brad Pitt and Timothy Olyphant. They are joined by a roster of new talent, including Peter Weller, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Holt McCallany, Elizabeth Debicki, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

With a hefty budget of $200 million, including a reported $20 million for Tarantino's screenwriting fee, the film centers on Rick Dalton's loyal stunt double, Cliff Booth, as he navigates the cutthroat world of Hollywood and tackles various issues for film studios.
