While "Deadpool and Wolverine" seemingly brought the villain Cassandra Nova's story to a definitive end, actress Emma Corrin, who portrays the character, believes there's still room for the antagonist to evolve within the MCU, even proposing a surprisingly unexpected idea for her return.

Corrin recently spoke with "Variety" and, when asked about reprising Cassandra Nova, stated without hesitation: "I would absolutely come back, 100 percent. I feel like her story isn't over yet."
However, rather than simply resurrecting the character or having her return as a straightforward villain, Corrin pitched a more mischievous concept. She expressed a desire to see a film exploring the relationship between Professor X and Cassandra Nova, styled as a sibling comedy akin to the 2008 film "Step Brothers."
"I want to see a Professor X and Cassandra Nova buddy comedy, like 'Step Brothers.' Make it happen! Internet, do your thing!" Corrin exclaimed.

In "Deadpool and Wolverine," Cassandra is established as the evil twin sister of Professor Charles Xavier. In Marvel Comics, she also shares a deep-seated rivalry with Professor X, constantly attempting to outdo her brother. One of her most famous storylines involves swapping bodies with Charles in Grant Morrison's "New X-Men" run.
If the MCU were to bring Cassandra back, Corrin's suggested direction might not become a main feature film, but it would certainly fit the irreverent tone of the Deadpool franchise as a potential side story in a sequel to "Deadpool and Wolverine." This is especially relevant given Ryan Reynolds' past comments that he doesn't necessarily want Deadpool to be the sole protagonist in future appearances, opening up possibilities for other characters to expand their storylines.
