ONKYO's sub-brand ANIMA, known for its popular collaborations with titles like "Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway's Flash: Witch of Circe" and "BanG Dream! MyGO/Ave Mujica," is back with another exciting partnership.
This time, they're teaming up with the ever-popular fighting game, "Street Fighter 6," to drop exclusive "ANIMA AOW03" over-ear headphones. Fans can choose between two killer designs inspired by Juri and Akuma. These bad boys will retail for 25,000 JPY, with pre-orders kicking off on June 11th on ONKYO's official website.
The headphones themselves are based on ANIMA's highly-rated ANIMA AOW03 model, originally engineered for an optimal anime music listening experience. They offer both wired and wireless connectivity, boast an impressive 37 hours of continuous playback, and can be juiced up via USB Type-C.
These special Akuma and Juri editions aren't just about the looks; they come loaded with over 30 unique character voice guides! From powering up to shutting down and even pairing, you'll hear your chosen fighter's iconic lines, making you feel like you're right in the thick of a "Street Fighter 6" brawl. Plus, new character illustrations will be available on accompanying merchandise.
And here's the cool part: no matter which version you snag, you can freely switch between both Juri and Akuma's voice lines! Imagine Akuma roaring "Shun Goku Senjitsu!" every time you power on! Both voice actors, Eri Kitamura (Juri) and Taketora (Akuma), have recorded brand-new lines just for these headphones.
But wait, there's more! Official merchandise featuring stunning new illustrations by artist hncl (@click_burgundy) will also be available, including acrylic display stands and headphone cases.
