Japanese figure manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY has announced the upcoming release of their latest product, "POP UP PARADE SP Cutie Honey," from "Cutie Honey Nova," joining their affordable pre-painted figure series "POP UP PARADE." The figure is slated for an November 2026 release.
"Cutie Honey Nova" is a new project launched in 2024, commemorating the 50th anniversary of Go Nagai's iconic manga "Cutie Honey." This collaborative effort by Dynamic Planning, Hobby Japan, and Good Smile Company features character designs by artist Nadare Takamine, who reimagined the main characters. The following year, manga artist Naoto Tsushima began serializing a new manga of the same name on Hobby Japan Web. GSC's "PLAMATEA" series of model kits also started releasing figures of Cutie Honey and other characters in 2026.
The "POP UP PARADE SP Cutie Honey" stands at an impressive 28 cm tall, rendered in approximately 1/6 scale. Compared to standard POP UP PARADE releases, this "SP" version boasts not only a larger size but also richer details and more extensive paintwork. The intricate sculpting meticulously recreates Nadare Takamine's design, capturing her voluptuous figure and the mechanical elements of her armor. Clear parts are utilized for sections of her armor, flowing ribbons, and the blade of her greatsword. Furthermore, intricate text and patterns are faithfully reproduced through printing.
