METAL BUILD Knight's & Magic Ikaruga Wields Four Rough Fists and Sword Cannons—and Sits on a Chess Piece Throne

BANDAI SPIRITS’ TAMASHII NATIONS collectibles brand has officially revealed full details for its METAL BUILD "Knight's & Magic" Ikaruga die-cast action figure. The release brings Ernesti Echevalier’s ultimate Silhouette Knight to life with a fresh design interpretation by anime mechanical designer Hidetaka Tenjin, blending elaborate fantasy armor with intricate mechanical construction. Standing approximately 8.3 inches tall, Ikaruga carries a suggested retail price of 44,000 yen including tax. Preorders are scheduled to open on November 2, 2026, ahead of a June 2027 release.

Previously shown through development updates, Ikaruga now returns with a closer look at its mechanical detailing. The figure retains the mecha’s distinctive six-arm configuration, with die-cast alloy parts incorporated into the joints, inner armor, scale-like plating, and blade fins along the arms. Its gold armor also features METAL BUILD-exclusive engraved detailing that further enhances the ornate knight aesthetic. A linked knee mechanism keeps the complex leg armor from restricting articulation, allowing Ikaruga to pull off poses as deep as a one-knee kneel. The front and rear skirt armor uses flexible PVC sheets with internal wires, letting collectors adjust their flowing shape.

All four of Ikaruga’s rear-mounted auxiliary arms, known as the Rough Fists, are fully articulated. Each can wield one of the four included Sword Cannons, which transform between gun and blade modes. Dedicated wire parts also recreate the Rough Fists’ hand-launching attack gimmick. The shoulders feature original ceremonial banners inspired by the emblem of the Order of the Silver Phoenix, giving the machine an even more regal presence. Also included is a special display base modeled after a military chess piece. Swapping its upper section transforms it into a chair, recreating the original novel illustration of Ikaruga seated upon a throne-like perch. Whether displayed with its full arsenal deployed or seated in royal fashion, the figure captures two very different sides of this formidable Silhouette Knight.
