BANDAI's Gashapon brand has announced the latest release in its MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE capsule toy line, which brings Mobile Suit Gundam units to life with universal connection points and extensive loadout customization. The Gashapon Online-exclusive "MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE 31 SPECIAL" goes on sale in Japan beginning October 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. JST.
Scheduled to launch later this month, the standard "Mobile Suit Gundam MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE 31" lineup features super-deformed capsule figures standing approximately 2.6 inches tall, complete with detailed sculpts and basic articulation. The assortment includes Wing Gundam Zero, Leo, and the High Mobility Type Zaku II (Black Tri-Stars Custom), along with multiple weapon accessories for Leo and Zaku II. Wing Gundam Zero captures the mobile suit's distinctive MS Mode silhouette and can combine with the expansion set to transform into Neo Bird Mode.
The newly announced "Mobile Suit Gundam MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE 31 SPECIAL" goes beyond simple color swaps with an updated mobile suit roster and an expanded selection of weapons. The lineup includes Wing Gundam Zero (Metallic Color Ver.), Zaku II, and Leo (Space Type), plus an all-new rendition of GFreD from "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX." An interchangeable head part recreates the mobile suit with its Kappa Psycommu activated.
Each mobile suit also comes with a clear articulated display stand. Swappable adapters let collectors use either the traditional mounting peg beneath the figure or a universal 3mm connection point elsewhere on the body. Unlike previous stands in the series, the new version features an adjustable display angle and multiple 3mm ports for storing weapons, making it considerably more versatile.
The MS Weapon Set has also received a major overhaul. In addition to Leo's 105mm Rifle, Dober Gun, and bazooka, the set includes a flight unit in standard Leo colors, shoulder cannons, leg thrusters, three pairs of sculpted hands, the original nose beam effect part from the "HG 1/100 Wing Gundam Zero," a commander-type replacement head for the High Mobility Type Zaku II (Black Tri-Stars Custom), and Beam Sabers. These parts can be combined with the weapons included with each mobile suit or used with figures from the standard wave to create even more loadout options.
