Speculation has been rife since last year that Tobey Maguire, who made a triumphant return in "Spider-Man: No Way Home," is slated to join "Avengers 5," reportedly set to battle Deadpool and Wolverine in an opening sequence. Recent reports now indicate that two additional familiar faces from Maguire's "Spider-Man" era are also poised to make a comeback.

Prominent entertainment scooper MyTimeToShineHello recently posted claims that Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus and Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin, both of whom returned alongside Maguire in "No Way Home," are also set to appear in "Avengers 5." While popular speculation suggests Doctor Octopus will team up with Maguire against Deadpool and Wolverine, MyTimeToShineHello specifically stated that Green Goblin will face off against Magneto.

Speaking of mutants, MyTimeToShineHello also reported that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige (pictured above) is keen on bringing back Anya Taylor-Joy to portray Magik. Taylor-Joy first entered the Marvel universe in the "X-Men" spin-off film "The New Mutants." While her performance was generally praised, the movie's overall critical reception and box office performance were so dismal that it prevented her from returning for a previously planned sequel. Now, however, it appears Taylor-Joy might have another opportunity to revive the character.
