During the "Kamen Rider 55th Anniversary Presentation" on April 3rd, officials officially unveiled the 8th Reiwa-era Kamen Rider series as "Kamen Rider MY-TH," simultaneously revealing its logo.
Today (July 5th), the official team dropped the first details for "Kamen Rider MY-TH," along with its debut teaser video and key visual, confirming a September premiere this year.
The newly revealed info shows that "MY-TH" is a Kamen Rider designed after a mouse—a first in Kamen Rider history for a protagonist! Much like "Kamen Rider ZEZTZ," he sports his transformation belt on his chest and uses egg-shaped key items to power up.
But wait, there's more! The natural enemies of mice—Cat Kamen Riders—are also making an appearance. And here's the kicker: unlike MY-TH, who wears his belt on his chest, these feline Riders rock their transformation belts around their waists.
Two have been revealed so far:
Kamen Rider Maō (Red Cat)
Kamen Rider Lido (Black Cat)
The official teaser visual showcases Kamen Rider MY-TH with sleek silver armor and piercing blue eyes. Standing right behind him are the two Cat Kamen Riders: the red one is Kamen Rider Maō, and the black one is Kamen Rider Lido. This sets the stage for a never-before-seen "Chest Belt VS Waist Belt" showdown in Kamen Rider history!
Also, those floating egg-shaped gadgets surrounding the characters? Those are the "Ride Eggs," the crucial items all three Riders use to transform. What kind of forms and combat styles they unlock is still under wraps, so stay tuned for more official reveals!
And here's a bonus: "Kamen Rider MY-TH" is set to make its big screen debut ahead of its TV premiere, appearing in the movie "Kamen Rider ZEZTZ: Sayonara no Mission," hitting theaters on July 24th!
