Atari and Pipeworks Studios announced in June that they were bringing the 2002 classic Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee back for a new generation with Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered. A new trailer has now arrived ahead of the game's November 3 launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam, with preorders open across all platforms.

The game is a remastered edition of the 2002 fighting game Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee. Its free-for-all kaiju combat was a fresh concept at the time, especially among Godzilla games, and it went on to become a fan favorite.

Players can choose from a roster of 12 kaiju, including Godzilla and King Ghidorah, before diving into colossal monster showdowns. The game features eight arenas, ranging from recreated real-world cities and Monster Island to an alien mothership, each with both daytime and nighttime variations.

Every kaiju comes equipped with its own powerful moveset, including devastating melee attacks, ranged energy blasts, and special attacks unleashed during Rage Mode. Players can even pick up buildings and hurl them at their opponents, turning the surrounding environment into a weapon for the kind of larger-than-life destruction only a kaiju battle can deliver.

The remaster completely overhauls the game's visuals. Alongside the original local multiplayer mode, it adds online multiplayer and individual single-player campaigns for every kaiju. The unlock system has also been improved, allowing players to unlock monsters, arenas, gallery collectibles, and other content in whatever order they prefer.
