MECHA SMILE, the Japanese brand behind the popular "MODEROID" model kit series, has announced its latest release from the anime "Knights & Magic": the "Goldleo". Slated for January 2027, this kit will be available in both a standard version and a "ROYAL METALLIC Ver." featuring stunning electroplated finishes.
Known as the "Golden Lion," the Goldleo is the Silhouette Knight piloted by Prince Emrys Yerl Fremmevilla of the Fremmevilla Kingdom. Developed from the mass-produced Caditorre, it shares identical performance with its visually distinct brother unit, the Tsubalteg. Emrys's input heavily influenced both its aesthetics and functionality, resulting in a Silhouette Knight specialized for high output. Constructed with top-tier components, it also features the "Beast King's Roar" magic weapons on both shoulders and knees, capable of consuming vast amounts of magic for immense power.
The "MODEROID Goldleo" kit features multi-colored runners and pre-painted parts, standing approximately 13.5 cm tall upon completion. It faithfully recreates the incredibly robust golden armor and the lion-inspired head and chest design, with included decals to capture its intricate markings and luxurious details. Each joint is articulated, allowing for dynamic battle poses with its impressively sized greatsword. Furthermore, interchangeable parts enable the display of the "Beast King's Roar" magic weapons in their deployed state on both shoulders and knees.
Meanwhile, the "MODEROID Goldleo ROYAL METALLIC Ver." enhances numerous golden parts across its body with electroplating, delivering a dazzling, luxurious finish.
