"Avengers: Doomsday" Trailer Explodes with Over 500M Views, Surpassing "GTA 6" But Not "Spider-Man: Brand New Day"

The first official trailer for "Avengers: Doomsday" has racked up a massive 503 million views within its first 24 hours online. The impressive figure surpasses the 475 million views set by the "Grand Theft Auto VI" trailer but still falls short of the all-time record held by "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," which pulled in an incredible 719 million views.

Ahead of the full trailer, Marvel released four short teasers focusing on the return of Steve Rogers, Thor, the X-Men, and the forces of Wakanda. The new trailer offers the first listen to Robert Downey Jr.'s voice as Doctor Doom and a full reveal of his armor, alongside scenes of the Avengers facing off against the X-Men, which has sent fan discussion into a frenzy.

The film's cast also includes Anthony Mackie as Captain America, along with members of the Thunderbolts and the Fantastic Four. Notably absent from the announced cast list, however, is Tom Holland's Spider-Man. While the main plot remains tightly under wraps, a new poster is believed to hint at Doctor Doom's motivations.

Producer Amy Pascal also recently commented on the future of "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," stating that the team isn't assuming it will become a trilogy. Instead, their focus is on making one great film at a time, with the hope that audiences can enjoy the story without needing to have seen other movies.

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is set to hit theaters in July 2026, while "Avengers: Doomsday" is scheduled for a December 18, 2026 release.
