During a new "Mobile Suit Gundam" series announcement event, Bandai Namco Japan teased the upcoming Gunpla release of the "HG 1/144 Gundam Helix", the protagonist mobile suit from the action game "GUNDAM: TRAILBLAZER". This highly anticipated kit will launch in both a standard retail color version and a special "Earth Blue Ver." bundled exclusively with the game software.
Slated for a 2027 release on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam®, the brand-new action game "GUNDAM: TRAILBLAZER" is part of the next-generation Gundam initiative, "RG PROJECT". Sharing the same universe as the new anime "Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO", the game allows players to experience a story set approximately a century after the events of the animation.
Humanity achieved unprecedented prosperity and expanded its dominion across the entire solar system, thanks to the "Three Great Blessings"—gravity control, faster-than-light communication, and ideation materialization technology—obtained from an unidentified object that arrived from outside the solar system. However, this mysterious object suddenly went rogue, activating a self-replication system and spawning highly aggressive silicon-based lifeforms. In this unknown ecosystem, humanity faced what seemed like the "Apocalypse." After three months of intense battles, with the front lines stalemated in satellite orbit, humanity was forced to abandon Earth, relocating to the Moon and space colonies. This year was recorded as A.A. (After Apocalypse) Year 1.

The game's story is set in A.A. 145, where players will take on the role of Rex, the pilot of the Gundam Helix, battling alongside his Haro partner, Yui, to confront the threat posed by the silicon-based lifeform, the "Apocalypse."

Official sources have already released in-development CG images for both versions of the "HG 1/144 Gundam Helix." These model kits will leverage BANDAI HOBBY's extensive experience in precision molding technology to recreate the incredibly dense mechanical details at 1/144 scale. The kits aim to faithfully capture the game's realistic mechanical design and its heavy-duty weapon systems. Further product details will be announced at a later date.
