This series marks the second spin-off show in the franchise, following "Blade Runner: Black Lotus." The story is set fifty years after "Blade Runner 2049," in a future where the war between replicants and humans has concluded with replicants victorious, leaving humans as second-class citizens.

Michelle Yeoh portrays Owyn, a replicant Blade Runner with only days left to live, who is on the hunt for a group of missing rogue replicants. Schafer plays Cora, Owyn's human fugitive partner, who has spent most of her life evading Blade Runners. Now, she must not only collaborate with a Blade Runner but also impersonate one. "Blade Runner 2099" is scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on November 25.
