Ryan Reynolds Crashes SDCC in All-Denim Deadpool Costume, Begs to Join 'Avengers: Doomsday'

During Marvel Studios' massive panel for "Avengers: Doomsday" at San Diego Comic-Con, Ryan Reynolds crashed the event by sneaking into the audience in a full denim Deadpool costume. Calling himself "Jeanpool," he made a live plea to join the new film.

During the Q&A session, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige called on "the guy with two swords" in the audience. Reynolds identified himself as a "long-time watcher, first-time caller" before joking, "I didn't wear a Doctor Doom mask over this mask because I didn't want to ruin the lines of this Canadian tuxedo."

He then directed a question to Paul Rudd, asking, "Where's Thor? Why is he crying?" Rudd fired back with a nod to Reynolds' soccer club, "Because he's a Wrexham fan?" Reynolds then pressed on, asking if "Doomsday" was still in production. "So no reshoots, no going over budget, and no last-minute additions?" he asked with mock disappointment before feigning a sad exit from the hall.

Reynolds has long been rumored to be part of the "Avengers: Doomsday" cast, though his involvement has never been officially confirmed. Last year, he stated he hadn't been on set yet, adding only, "But, yes, that's about as much as I can say on that."

In fact, earlier this month, he also teased, "There are some new projects coming up, you know, in a way there will be another 'Deadpool' movie, and that will be very exciting."

The massive Marvel panel also brought together the cast of "Avengers: Doomsday," including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Pedro Pascal, and Anthony Mackie. Other major announcements included Ryan Gosling being cast as the star of "Ghost Rider," and David Jonsson being confirmed to play an adult T'Challa II in "Black Panther 3."
