Marvel's "Hulk" star Mark Ruffalo, who has repeatedly criticized Paramount Global's acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery since last year, yesterday took to his Instagram Stories to blast Paramount Global CEO David Ellison's father, Oracle founder Larry Ellison. Ruffalo alleged that Oracle's technology was being used to support Israel's operations in Palestine, which he characterized as a "slaughter." He further questioned whether this technology would eventually be applied within Paramount Global and Warner Bros. Discovery, citing Larry Ellison's significant financial investment in his son's acquisition bid.
Ruffalo's statements immediately drew a sharp rebuke from Paramount Global, which slammed his remarks as "antisemitic." However, Ruffalo showed no signs of backing down, taking to X this morning to post a lengthy rebuttal.
Ruffalo further elaborated on his stance via X:

However, Ruffalo's statement did not quell the controversy. The Hollywood-based pro-Israel organization Creative Community for Peace (CCFP) released a statement shortly after, condemning Ruffalo's remarks as increasingly promoting extreme antisemitism. The group also called for a Hollywood boycott, stating: "Hollywood should not tolerate anyone making such statements. Mark Ruffalo should retract these statements and issue an apology, and until he does, no one in Hollywood should provide him with a platform."
