Filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan, renowned for his thrillers, and Nicholas Sparks, the celebrated romance novelist behind "The Notebook," surprised fans last year by announcing a unique collaborative project. Together, they conceived the story for "Remain," a narrative designed to span both literary and cinematic forms. The novelization of "Remain" hit shelves last October, and the film adaptation is set to debut next Valentine's Day, with its highly anticipated first trailer released tonight.
The film is categorized as a romantic drama, infused with Shyamalan's signature supernatural thriller elements. Both Shyamalan and Sparks developed their respective works – Shyamalan penning the screenplay and Sparks crafting the novel – from a shared original concept and a consistent set of characters, working in parallel.
