If you're into Japanese pop culture, the name Enako probably rings a bell. This wildly popular cosplayer has been absolutely crushing it lately, dropping albums and even running her own YouTube channel, cementing her status as Japan's top cosplayer.
She recently announced a guest appearance in the tokusatsu V-cinema sequel, "Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity VS Raiya," a follow-up to "Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity." Enako will portray a member of the anti-government organization "Survivors," who are at odds with the main characters, making this her very first tokusatsu role.
"Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity VS Raiya" picks up right after the events of the "Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity" TV series finale. The terrorist Death Gavan (played by Rei Fujita), who vanished in the final episode, remains a mystery. To track him down, protagonist Reiji Nushiro (played by Kohei Nagata) heads to the Biskatoneck Nebula.
There, the truth behind the "Biskatoneck Nebula Incident"—the pivotal event that led Death Gavan down his dark path—is finally about to be revealed. The recently released teaser trailer, as hinted by the title "Infinity VS Raiya," showcases a tense face-off between Raiya Gavan, Kaimu Kazenami (played by Kentaro Yasui), and Reiji, setting the stage for an explosive and turbulent situation.
Besides Enako, other guest stars include Reo Nagatsuma from the boy group "7ORDER" and actor Ryoshiro Tsuji. Both will appear as members of the "Survivors," an anti-government organization fighting against the corrupt regime on the planet Arkam.
Enako takes on the role of "Nitokuris," a character with psychokinetic abilities. Reo Nagatsuma plays "Randy," who can control flames and excels in close-quarters combat. Ryoshiro Tsuji portrays "Carter," an intelligent character who can manipulate electricity.

This marks Enako's first foray into tokusatsu, and she shared her excitement: "On my first day on set, I was super nervous, but also incredibly excited and looking forward to it. It's a huge honor to be part of such an amazing production, and I really hope everyone comes to the theater to enjoy this brand-new story!"
"Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity VS Raiya" is set for a limited theatrical release starting December 11 at Shinjuku Wald 9 and other cinemas. Plus, mark your calendars: the Blu-ray and DVD are slated for release on June 9, 2027.
