Following the massive leak of "Grand Theft Auto VI" (GTA 6) gameplay footage by leaker Cyberleek, one particular clip showed protagonist Jason entering a nudist resort. In the sequence, Jason uses binoculars to observe guests before the scene escalates into a shootout. Now, players have reportedly identified the real-world inspiration for this in-game location, leading to a deluge of fake reviews and alleged extortion attempts against the resort's operators.

According to a report from "GamesRadar+", players believe the nudist resort featured in the game is based on the Cypress Cove Nudist Resort in Kissimmee, Florida. The resort, which boasts amenities like pools, bars, and a golf course, previously enjoyed favorable ratings on travel websites. However, its Google reviews have recently been inundated with content related to "GTA 6".
Some players left five-star reviews, fabricating "incidents" and claiming a man was seen peeping at guests with binoculars. Others warned fellow tourists to "watch out for a guy named Jason Duval," while some comments deliberately referenced August 24, 2026, the date Cyberleek publicly leaked the gameplay videos.

As these comments could mislead genuine customers into believing the resort had experienced harassment, Cypress Cove has begun refuting them individually. More seriously, the operators allege that some of the fake reviewers have even demanded payment to modify or delete their content.
In a public response, Cypress Cove emphasized, "We will not pay, nor will we negotiate." The resort stated it has saved records of the reviews and payment demands, reporting them to relevant platforms. The operators also sarcastically added, "We appreciate your dedication to the 'GTA' storyline, but Cypress Cove is located in Florida, not Leonida. Unfortunately, 'internet ransom' is not in our marketing budget."
The incident has also sparked discussion on Reddit, with one user remarking, "The owners are clearly not happy about these comments." Another joked about the nature of a nudist resort, saying, "A nudist resort is denying 'exposure'?"

However, some within the nudist community have criticized "GTA 6"'s portrayal, arguing that such caricatures can reinforce negative stereotypes about nudists. They urge the public not to confuse exaggerated in-game scenarios with real-world locations.
