Japanese capsule toy brand YELL (エール) is releasing the second wave of its animal-themed series, “No Way I’ll Lose! 2.” Five animals—including a Calico Cat, Persian Cat, and Chinchilla—have been turned into hilarious little figures that look ready to pick a fight. Despite their round bodies and fluffy fur, each one stands upright with its tiny fists raised, striking a pose that says it absolutely refuses to back down. Featuring several new animals, the collection is priced at 300 yen per capsule (tax included) and is scheduled for release in November 2026.
The first “No Way I’ll Lose!” series featured House Mice, Hamsters, and cats standing upright as if they were ready to challenge anyone to a fight. The second wave continues the same comedic concept, with all five animals puffing out their chests and balancing on two feet like they are moments away from throwing down. Their stubby little arms and round bellies make them anything but intimidating, though—instead, they are so cute that you cannot help wondering just how fierce they can actually be.
The lineup features five designs: Calico Cat, Persian Cat, Chinchilla, Hamster, and Small Japanese Field Mouse. One promotional image even stages a sunset face-off between the Calico Cat and the Small Japanese Field Mouse, accompanied by the declaration, “I won’t give up, no matter who I’m facing!” Despite the enormous difference in size, neither fighter looks willing to back down. It is shaping up to be the animal kingdom’s showdown of the century—and you cannot help but root for both sides!
