"Bunker" is written and directed by "The Father" filmmaker Florian Zeller and inspired by the 2010 Argentine film "The Man Next Door." Bardem and Cruz once again play husband and wife, with their characters' 17-year relationship echoing the stars' own longtime partnership. The story follows Miguel, an architect hired to build a doomsday survival bunker for a tech billionaire. As the project pulls him deeper into a world of extreme wealth, paranoia and fear, his wife begins questioning their marriage. The intrusion of an unsettling neighbor only adds to the couple's mounting anxiety.
The supporting cast includes Paul Dano as the tech billionaire, Stephen Graham as the unsettling neighbor and Arnold Schwarzenegger's son, Patrick Schwarzenegger. "Bunker" is set for a limited North American release on December 11 before expanding nationwide on January 15, 2027.
