Japanese figure maker Kotobukiya has revealed a new 1/8 scale pre-painted figure of Sheena and Mimi from the dark fantasy yuri manga "I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day". Priced at 33,000 yen including tax, the figure is scheduled for release in July 2027.
"I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day" takes place in a fantasy world where an academy raises orphaned children to serve as magical weapons of war. After her roommate is unexpectedly killed in battle, an ordinary girl named Sheena meets Mimi, an immortal girl known as the academy’s secret weapon. The two form an inseparable bond, setting the stage for a heartbreaking coming-of-age romance about death, the meaning of life, and the relationship between a gentle girl with no talent for magic and an immortal weapon who knows nothing of a normal life.
Standing approximately 4.7 inches tall, the Sheena & Mimi 1/8 scale pre-painted figure depicts the pair seated together, with Mimi nestled in Sheena’s arms and smiling innocently as Sheena looks on with a tender expression. Built around the theme of “an ordinary yet irreplaceable moment,” the composition carefully captures the distance between them, their exchanged glances, and their tightly interlaced fingers. Every detail works together to convey the unmistakable bond the two share.
The same attention to detail carries through the rest of the sculpt, from the flowing strands of hair to the finely rendered folds in their clothing. Carefully applied shading adds depth throughout the piece. The flower crown Sheena gives Mimi in the story is also included and can be placed on Sheena’s head. Customers who order through the official Kotobukiya shop will receive an exclusive interchangeable parts set featuring an alternate face for Mimi, a plate of cookies, and replacement hands holding a cookie.
