BANDAI's Gashapon brand has unveiled "GASHAPON ANIMAL," an all-new original Capsule Toy series built around transforming animals. The first and second waves are scheduled for release in March and April 2027, respectively.
In the world of "GASHAPON ANIMAL (ガシャニマル)," everything on a mysterious island is perfectly round. The island also hides a secret world inhabited by animals that can disguise themselves as Gashapon capsules. Known as GASHAPON ANIMALS, these creatures use their transforming abilities to switch from "Capsule Mode" to "Animal Mode."
Each "GASHAPON ANIMAL" toy emerges from the machine in its rounded "Capsule Mode." A simple transformation involving separating, unfolding, and combining its parts reveals a fun and adorable "Animal Mode." Every creature features its own transformation sequence, recreating signature traits such as a lion's mane, a giraffe's long neck, or a dolphin's fins. Detailed sculpting and paintwork bring out fur textures, markings, and other animal features, while basic articulation lets collectors pose them crawling, running, and more.
The first wave, scheduled for March 2027, will feature a lion, dolphin, and giraffe, with two color variations for each animal. The second wave will follow in April 2027 with a giant panda, penguin, and squirrel, also offered in two colors apiece. Additional product details will be announced at a later date.
