The Hollywood Reporter also reported that "Dune: Part Three" cinematographer Linus Sandgren will serve as director of photography on the new "Ghost Rider." The entire movie will be shot on film, with production expected to begin in New York in early 2027.
As announced three months ago, "Deadpool & Wolverine" filmmaker Shawn Levy will direct after recently wrapping the new "Star Wars" spinoff "Star Wars: Starfighter" with Gosling. The Hollywood Reporter has now added that Jonathan Tropper, who wrote "Starfighter" and has collaborated with Levy on several films, will pen the screenplay. "Ghost Rider" is scheduled to hit theaters on July 28, 2028.
