BANDAI SPIRITS' TAMASHII NATIONS collectibles division has revealed a new 45th-anniversary release for its transforming die-cast DX Chogokin line: the "Macross" "VF-1J Super Valkyrie (Milia Farina Jenius Use)". Priced at 36,300 yen including tax, the figure is scheduled for release in May 2027.
The VF-1J Super Valkyrie is an upgraded model from the VF-1 Valkyrie series, typically assigned to top ace pilots and squadron leaders. It features the franchise's signature three-mode transformation system, along with thermonuclear reaction turbine engines capable of 700 hours of continuous atmospheric flight. This custom unit belongs to Milia Farina Jenius, the former Zentradi ace pilot from the anime. It serves as the matching partner unit to the previously offered "VF-1J Super Valkyrie (Maximilian Jenius Use)", bringing the married pilots' machines together as a pair.
The "DX Chogokin VF-1J Super Valkyrie (Milia Farina Jenius Use)" shares the same core sculpt and engineering as Maximilian Jenius' machine. Its die-cast inner frame delivers the weight, stability, and solid handling collectors expect from the line, while Milia's signature red-and-white color scheme is finished with a metallic sheen. Fine panel lines and tampo-printed markings cover the body. Thanks to the sturdy metal frame, the Valkyrie transforms between FIGHTER, GERWALK, and BATTROID modes without replacement parts, and the cockpit can seat the included Milia pilot figure.
The Valkyrie measures approximately 30 centimeters long in FIGHTER mode. Its Super Parts can be equipped across all three configurations, with boosters mounted on the back, six large anti-ship reaction missiles under the wings, missile launchers attached to the arms, and high-maneuverability boosters fitted to the legs. The complete loadout also includes the signature GU-11 55mm three-barrel gun pod. Additional GERWALK-specific parts include dorsal air-intake shutters and antennas, plus abdominal detail parts for a more anime-accurate silhouette. Three pairs of interchangeable hands feature the rounded styling seen in the TV series, while the dedicated display stand lets collectors recreate the Valkyrie's high-flying combat poses.
