BANDAI SPIRITS’ TAMASHII NATIONS collectibles division has unveiled three new "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope" releases for its movie-focused CineToy TAMASHII series. Rounding out the lineup is the S.H.Figuarts Darth Vader -Movie Poster Color Ver.- action figure, priced at 9,900 yen and scheduled for release in April 2027.
When Darth Vader made his debut in the original 1977 "Star Wars," his imposing black armor, flowing cape, and menacing red lightsaber instantly captivated moviegoers. Later sequels and spin-offs continued to explore both Vader and Anakin Skywalker, gradually revealing his tragic transformation and terrifying power as the Emperor’s most loyal enforcer. Decades later, he remains one of the most iconic and popular characters in the entire franchise.
Standing approximately 6.7 inches tall, Darth Vader -Movie Poster Color Ver.- updates the previously released classic figure with revised specifications and fabric costume elements. Its color scheme is based on the iconic theatrical poster for "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope," reinterpreting Vader’s familiar black armor with elegant blue undertones that capture the stylized look of the original artwork. The result delivers a striking finish unlike the more realistic colors used for earlier releases.
Accessories include three pairs of interchangeable hands, an ignited lightsaber, a lightsaber hilt that can be attached at the waist, and a motion-blur lightsaber effect part. Flexible articulation allows the figure to hold dynamic poses while maintaining its distinctive silhouette. Display it alongside the newly revealed "Luke Skywalker -Movie Poster Color Ver.-" and "Princess Leia Organa -Movie Poster Color Ver.-" figures to recreate the unique aesthetic of the classic poster.
