Kotobukiya unveiled two additions to its original "Megalo Maria" plastic model series at the AK-GARDEN 30 model show: an in-development prototype of GRANDE SCALE EMULATOR #1 and a fully painted CLARIS sample. Release dates have yet to be announced.

"Megalo Maria" is Kotobukiya’s first product line to manufacture the vast majority of its parts in Japan. Breaking away from the traditional human and mecha-girl aesthetics seen in many character model kits, the series uses an all-new puppet-like base body called Marionette Style, designed to deliver exceptional articulation and expressive posing. Its unique crossover universe connects Kotobukiya’s various plastic model lines through a play-within-a-play concept. Story connections and parts compatibility with lines such as SOUSAI SHOJO TEIEN open up nearly limitless customization possibilities.
The fan-favorite "EMULATOR #1" is now getting the GRANDE SCALE treatment, standing approximately 10.4 inches (26.5 cm) tall. In addition to scaling up the standard model’s proportions, this larger edition features significantly enhanced sculpted detail. The kit’s signature UV-printed movable eye parts have also been redesigned by illustrator kodama_GS. Measuring 9mm in diameter, the larger eyes allow for substantially higher-resolution iris printing.

"CLARIS" is an alternate-color version of the previously announced character "STARS." This edition swaps in bright, adorable mint-green twin tails and a black-and-white waitress uniform reminiscent of a maid outfit, giving the character a distinctly different personality from the original release.
