Alpha x Omega 1/7 Sheryl Nome Gorgeous Ver. Kneel Before the Queen!

Sheryl Nome (シェリル・ノーム, Sheryl Nome, voiced by Ayako Kawasumi / sung by May'n)

17 years old, a popular idol singer from Macross Galaxy, nicknamed the "Galaxy Fairy". She has light pink hair. She is strong-willed and proactive, with a commanding style, and is referred to as the "Queen" by her classmates. She has a contradictory feeling of both dislike and concern for Macross Galaxy. She later enrolled in the Space Star Academy as a pilot and became classmates with others.

Shares the same surname with Mao Nome from "Macross Zero", confirmed in episode 24 to be Mao's granddaughter, inheriting the bloodline of the "Wind's Guide", possessing a genetic connection to the Protoculture that is closer than that of an average person (similar genetic connections to primitive civilization include the Jetralians). The earrings embedded with Fold Quartz are a talisman sent to her by Mao. The specific circumstances of her parents are unknown.

As a child, Sheryl wandered in the slums of Macross Galaxy where she encountered Grace. However, in the movie version, she is apparently adopted by Grace shortly thereafter. Grace uses her as a test subject for V-type infectious disease human experiments and published related papers in 2053, afterward failing to cure the disease, only suppressing the Vajra bacteria in her body with medication. Through the Vajra bacteria and the Fold Quartz earrings in her body, she gained the ability to receive and emit Fold waves and was later used as a medium to research and manipulate the Vajra, codenamed Fairy 9.

Grace purposefully concealed the truth from Sheryl and made her a popular singer in Macross Galaxy, taking her to Macross Frontier in 2059 under the guise of a concert tour to initiate the Carnival operation. Ultimately, due to unsatisfactory results and Grace discovering the whereabouts of Ranka, Sheryl was abandoned.

After learning the truth, she fell into despair and gave up singing. However, during the Vajra Island attack incident, when the "Songstress of Hope" Ranka attracted more Vajra attacks with her negative emotions through her singing, Sheryl comforted the citizens in the shelter with her voice. After the V-type infection medication was discontinued and with mental fluctuations causing the Vajra bacteria to spread into her brain, she acquired the ability to emit Fold waves similar to Ranka and became the singing weapon of Macross Frontier. After shedding her Galaxy disguise, the three teamed up to defeat Grace.

Facing Sheryl who was rescued by Ranka, she declared “war,” stating she would not lose to Sheryl in either work or love, to which Sheryl accepted the challenge with a "キラッ☆" gesture.

In the movie, the serum injected from Ranka saves her, allowing her to become a coexistence being like Ranka, but she falls into a coma. Ultimately, she awakens due to the longing conveyed through the earrings and returns to the stage.

In the authorized comic featuring Sheryl as the protagonist, it is indicated that her parents were killed for opposing the mandatory body modifications for Galaxy citizens, leading Sheryl to end up on the streets. Later, she and Ranka fell into the Vajra Queen's territory, where she saved a character named Hyouka and Brera, eventually marrying Hyouka.

The overall quality is exceptionally high. The layering of the clothing and butterfly patterns is perfect, the assembly of metal parts is masterful, and the coloring and shading are just right! However, the printing on the eyes is average. The price is steep, but Risa Ebata's original design is indeed so "amazing", that even I, without a girlfriend, have to obediently open my wallet...

Will you like the next introduction of Ranka Lee?
