DAISUKE, GO! ABYSTYLE, a company renowned for producing a wide range of film and anime merchandise, is set to release a new figure from its ABYstyle Studio brand's SFC (Super Figure collection) series. This exciting new collectible features "Grendizer," the iconic protagonist robot from legendary manga artist Go Nagai's classic work, "UFO Robot Grendizer." The figure is scheduled for an October 2021 release.
"UFO Robot Grendizer" (also known by various localized titles such as Goldorak, Grandizer, or Great Mazinger in some regions) is the third installment in the beloved Mazinger series, created by the esteemed manga artist Go Nagai, the mastermind behind "Mazinger Z." The story centers on Umon Daisuke, the hidden Prince Duke Fleed of Planet Fleed. After his home world is tragically destroyed by the invading Vegan Empire, he escapes to Earth, hoping to live a peaceful life in anonymity. However, when the Vegan forces extend their destructive invasion to Earth, Daisuke, encouraged by Koji Kabuto and the research institute director, bravely confronts his past trauma. He once again takes the pilot's seat of his personal machine, Grendizer, to defend Earth against the invaders, thus beginning an epic saga.
This SFC series Grendizer figure from ABYstyle Studio is primarily composed of three distinct parts: the main Grendizer body, the Spacer, and Grendizer's signature weapon, the Double Harken. All three components can be displayed separately or combined to form a complete unit. When fully assembled, the figure stands at an impressive height of approximately 33 cm, making for a truly imposing and magnificent collectible.
